The Men’s Health MOT is a comprehensive blood test specifically designed to address key health concerns affecting men at every life stage. This targeted screening evaluates testosterone levels, prostate health, cardiovascular risk, diabetes screening, liver and kidney function, and essential vitamins and minerals critical for male vitality and longevity. Men are statistically less likely to seek preventive healthcare, yet face higher risks of heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers.
PSA is a protein produced by the prostate gland. Elevated PSA levels may indicate prostate enlargement (benign prostatic hyperplasia), prostate inflammation (prostatitis), or prostate cancer—the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men.

There is no national prostate cancer screening programme in the UK. A PSA test on its own is not a screening test for prostate cancer.

A PSA result within the expected range does not rule out every prostate problem. If you have symptoms or concerns, speak to your GP whatever your result.
