The Random Glucose Test is a simple, quick blood test that measures blood glucose levels at any time of day, regardless of when the patient last ate. Unlike fasting glucose tests, this non-invasive screening does not require special preparation or fasting. The test is used as an initial screening tool for diabetes, prediabetes, and metabolic disorders, and is particularly useful for detecting hyperglycemia in symptomatic patients or during routine health check-ups.
